asknet expects positive consolidated result for the financial year 2017

Disclosure of an inside information acc. to Article 17 MAR.

Karlsruhe, 19 January 2018 – asknet AG (ISIN: DE000A2E3707) is adjusting its earnings expectations for the year 2017 upwards. The main reason for the increase is the decision of the executive board and the supervisory board to start capitalizing software development costs in the fiscal year 2017. Furthermore, the company recorded a strong performance from existing and new customers in November and December, which had not yet been taken into account in the planning. The performance of asknet had also been enhanced with the positive effect from synergies with The Native SA following completion of the change of control transaction in early November.

The executive board of asknet AG had originally assumed that the Group’s operating result (EBT) in 2017 would improve significantly compared to the previous year, even though still being negative. On the basis of preliminary figures, now a slightly positive operating result (EBT) is expected. Gross profit will still be weaker than in the previous year due to the significant decline in demand for a major customer’s software release.

The complete audited group annual report for 2017 will be published on April 13, 2018.
